Author Guidelines

GENERAL ORIENTATIONS
Macambira Journal, typed in .doc or .docx format, must contain the following format:
  1. Times New Roman font;
  2. Size 12 (title, subtitle (if any), topic and body of the text); Foreign words and titles of works must be written in italics (italics);
  3. 1.5 line spacing; all margins (left, right, top and bottom) of 2 cm;
  4. Citations with up to 3 lines must appear referenced in the body of the text and contain quotation marks;
  5. Quotations with more than 3 lines must be written without quotation marks and have a 4 cm indentation on the left margin, in addition to not indenting on the right margin and having simple spacing in relation to the body of the text;
  6. The font size of the quote must be smaller than the body of the text (size 10) and the spacing between lines must be simple;
  7. Verbal time - standardize, whenever possible, using the preferential use of the present tense;
  8. Grammatical person - standardize the person, allowing authors to use the first person singular; first person plural or third person singular, without using both forms;
  9. The call for authors in the text must be made by the AUTHOR system, date.
  10. The number of pages with attachments must not exceed 2 (two).
  11. Footnotes or notes at the end of the text should be avoided.
  12. Only on the first page, footnotes are recommended to indicate aid received, source of work, presentation at events or similar notes, when necessary.
  13. Acknowledgments for aids received by the author (s) can be mentioned at the end of the text.
CRITICAL REVIEW
Reviews should follow the following instructions:
a) they must not exceed the limit of three (03) sheets;
b) publications published in Brazil and / or abroad for a maximum of 02 and 04 years, respectively;
c) must have the following sequence:

- Complete reference of the work: Author (s). Title: subtitle (if any). Place of publication: Publisher, year. number of pages;
- Name of the reviewer, followed by a brief biography and link to register with ORCID (https://orcid.org/);
- Institution to which it belongs;
- Text (critical review of the publication).
ARTICLE
Articles with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 pages, including references, will be accepted.
a) the works must present the following sequence:
• title and subtitle (if any), in Portuguese, English and Spanish, respectively;
• name (s) of the author (s), followed by affiliation, short biography and link to register with ORCID (https://orcid.org/);
• informative summary (from 100 to 250 words), in the language of the text, with keywords (at least 03 and at most 05 words,
separated by points);• abstract in foreign language, in English (Abstract with Keywords) and / or in Spanish (Resumen with Palabras clave);
• text (introduction, development and conclusion);
• explanatory notes (if any), it is interesting to avoid them;
• References.

After the name of the author (s), in the following paragraph, the brief curriculum must contain: name of the institution, course (or department, in the case of the advisor) and e-mail.

Abstract in the language of the text must present, in a concise manner, the objectives, methodology and results achieved, and must not exceed 250 words or contain citations. In addition, you must present the main abstract, written in the language of the article, and the secondary abstract in a foreign language (Spanish and / or English). If the article is written in a foreign language, the writer is obliged to write the secondary abstract in Portuguese.

Keywords as a mandatory element, appearing just below each abstract (in the language of the article and foreign), whose number of words must not exceed 5 and must not be less than 3, separated by commas.
FINAL GUIDELINES
1. The reviewers and reviewers may make changes to the works, in order to improve their textuality, without changing the meaning and authorship, bringing them closer to the textual characteristics related to an academic publication;
2. It is not prohibited to send works whose authors and / or co-authors are effective members of the editorial board of this journal;
3. Submission of the work implies acceptance of all rules described in this document and the granting of rights to the text to Revista Macambira;

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Research Articles

Original works presenting results of empirical, theoretical, or methodological investigations. They should include introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions.

Review Articles

Critical and systematized analyses of the literature on specific topics, contributing to the state of the art in the field.

Theoretical Essays

Texts that argue a point, idea, or hypothesis based on a solid theoretical foundation, without requiring original research data.

Experience Reports

Description and analysis of relevant experiences, with reflections on their implications and contributions to the field.
