Abstract

Historian Josué Berlesi (Unifesspa) provides us with an important document that shows how Palestine has a denied past due to the monopoly of “Ancient Israel”. In the text: The historical silencing of Palestine: a challenge for contemporary historiography, we see the past and its reverberations in the current conflict in the Middle East.

  • Josué Berlesi, Universidade Federal do Sul e Sudeste do Pará (Unifesspa)

    Natural de Ijuí - RS, cursou licenciatura em História na UFRGS e mestrado e doutorado em Teologia na EST. Desde o início de suas atividades acadêmicas, dedica-se ao estudo da história antiga oriental. Atua como docente universitário na Amazônia desde 2010, atualmente lotado na unidade central da Universidade Federal do Sul e Sudeste do Pará (Unifesspa) em Marabá, Pará, Brasil.
