ABSTRACT
Improving agricultural production in quantity and quality is a challenging objective everywhere agriculture is practiced, especially when farmers are not assisted and do not have access to technologies that could help them to produce. This is the reality of more than 2,200 agricultural establishments in the municipality of Xique-Xique (BA). As an alternative, this paper aimed to use a low-cost technology to collect, isolate, characterize, and identify agricultural beneficial fungi. The methodology was applied in small agricultural properties and in native forest. The fungi were collected, identified and stored. The fungi collected belong to the genus Aspergillus, and there is also the presence of a fungus belonging to the subphylum Mucoromycotina, both known as soil organic matter decomposers. The application of this technology will make it possible to collect beneficial fungi for agriculture in a simple and cheap way.
